What Greg has to say about CPQ:
My relationship with CPQ goes back a number of years to the days when I shot medium format film. When digital technology came along I relied heavily upon CPQ to get me through the vast changes that took place, especially in workflow and product lines. The days of only being able to offer my clients a print to frame or a traditional, slip-in album are long gone.
One of the things that CPQ offers that has made my life easier is the ROES ordering system. For the most part, I do my own color correction and just upload my proofing to CPQ for printing. ROES allows me to custom crop my images to whatever aspect ratio for any particular size, eliminating the need to do any cropping in my post-processing stage. I can't imagine my workflow nightmares if ROES didn't exist. When I have a really tricky color balance situation, I just upload via ROES and let CPQ do the rest.
Another thing about CPQ that's WAY cool is the product lines that they offer. Most of our album sales are the "coffee-table" style books. I do my own layouts and upload them, again via ROES, and the albums come back to me assembled! I love being a photographer and not having to assemble books allows me to do what I do best and that's taking pictures.
I often see new things on CPQ's website and I'll call and ask, "What's that and how does it work?" I've been able to offer new products to my clients because CPQ stays on top of the current trends and, as any photographer knows, things change very rapidly. We've just started offering gallery wraps in the last few months and my clients go wow! When they come into the studio and see them hanging on the gallery walls.
Customer service at CPQ is second to none. If I do something crazy with an order or if I send in something that's not quite normal often they catch it and they call me! I've had a few disasters averted because they found mistakes that I made. I have a great relationship with CPQ and they treat me like I treat my customers. That kind of service is hard to find and greatly appreciated.
